In this episode of Minute GarageBand,
we’re going to show you how to enable Multi-track recording in GarageBand version 10
If you wish to record more than 1 track at a time,
aside from a multi-channel interface
you’ll also need to enable the setting in
GarageBand version 10 to permit it.
There are two ways to do this,
First, you can right-click (or control-click) on any track header to reveal a hidden popUp menu.
From there choose “Track Header Components” and choose “Show Record Enable”
The other option is to use the Track menu choose the “Track Header” menuItem and select the “Show Record Enable Button” menuItem Once the “Record Enable” buttons are displayed,
note that any selected track is automatically record enabled,
but in order to enable multiple tracks,
we also need to select a different channel from the interface for each track,
And to do that we open the “Smart Controls” pane and then click the
“I” inspector icon.
From here you can choose any of your interface’s channel for each track, just remember that you need to assign different channels to each track.
Once you’ve set the channels,
Click the Record Enable button for each track on which you wish to record … and record.
That’s all we have for this episode We hope you found it useful
