In this episode of Minute GarageBand,
we’re going to show you how to change the tempo of an imported file in GarageBand version 10.
By default, an imported file will not respond to changes in tempo because
the engine doesn’t know anything about the file.
There are several steps you may need to take in order to make tempo changes affect the imported file.
first, make sure the track holding your imported file is selected, then open the editor pane.
Next, select the Region tab,
and stretch the top of the pane up to reveal the rest of the controls if they are hidden.
Note that at this point even though the Follow Tempo and Pitch checkBox is enabled, it will not accept a click to display the checkmark, First,
we need to turn on the quantize function so that GarageBand can analyze the file.
Once the file has been analyzed, the checkBox is automatically ticked for us,
and the imported file will now follow tempo changes.
That’s all we have for this episode we hope you found it useful
